Program provides training in cloud, blockchain, internet of things, and artificial intelligence to individuals seeking an IT career path

Schaumburg, IL, USA—The Digital Trust Workforce Development Program from ISACA is expanding this year’s reach to include Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. This program opens new career pathways for residents, offering training in emerging technologies.

The free program will serve a total of ten students. ISACA-certified industry experts will provide weekly in-person instruction on the weekend to accommodate work schedules using ISACA’s Certified in Emerging Technology (CET) certification coursework. Students will also benefit from job readiness workshops, certification exam prep, networking opportunities, and access to ISACA resources and training.

These courses include ISACA’s Cloud Fundamentals, Blockchain Fundamentals, Internet of Things (IoT) Fundamentals, and Artificial Intelligence Fundamentals certificates. Those who complete all four certificate programs can achieve the CET certification.

Digital trust professions—including those in cybersecurity, privacy, risk, IT audit and governance—are valued and increasingly in demand. ISACA’s 2024 AI Pulse Poll found that 80 percent of respondents believe AI will modify jobs, with 85 percent saying they will need additional training to retain their job or advance their career.

This program aligns with ISACA’s academic and workforce development efforts to support the next generation of learners seeking in-demand IS/IT skills and communities looking to grow their digital trust workforce.

“For too long, IT careers have felt out of reach to many,” says Jeff Angle, ISACA senior director, academic and workforce development. “It is critical to expand these professional pathways to build a cyber workforce that fills the growing IS/IT staffing gap, providing secure, future-proof jobs for anyone with a passion for the field.”

The program does not require completion of high school or college. Learn more about the eligibility requirements and to apply for the program, here.
